Hi,
I've been with AOl for 10+ years and feel insulted that they haven't offered me a good deal to stay with them any longer. I currently pay. £13.60 for BT line rental and £7.10 for AOL unlimited plus anytime phone call.
TOTAL cost = £20.70 per month
I can only get AOL, TalkTalk, tiscali and Sky in my area and I'm aware that tiscali are no more and Talk Talk is part of AOL or vice versa. Basically, that leaves me with Sky.
They are offering me unlimited BB for £7.50 per month, half price for 6 months. Line rental £12.25 per month (don't want to pay up front). free router etc... £70 cashback through quidco.
Not exactly the deal of the century, but its gotta be better than staying with AOL. Question is...does anyone know of any better deals without paying line rental up front?
Thanks

Not correct, these may be the only LLU service available, but you also have the choice of dozens of non-LLU providers. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
How do I find out?0

All non LLU providers are available on all broadband enabled exchanges, since they are merely reselling the BT Wholesale service. For example Plusent, Zen, IDNet...
LLU will invariably be the cheapest option however, but it's not your only one.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Ahh, right...Now I understand. So does anyone know if I'm likely to get a better deal than the one above by going to non LLU providers?0 -
As I said, unlikely, because they have to pay the wholesale rental rates. to BT. But if you care to visit some of their sites, you can easily find out. No one can give you a 'national' price, as it depends what exchange Market you are on-presumably you are Market 3.
But most likely that Sky will be the cheapest.
Are you a Sky subscriber?-if not, the BB will cost £2.50 extra. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Oh right...thanks. I'm with Sky anyway so I thought this deal would be good for me. I don't think £20.00 per month for unlimited BB with new router and £70 cahback...and half price BB for the frst 6 months is too bad. Think I'll order tomorrow unless anyone recommends anything else.0

Can I bump this....has anyone got any other advice? Thought the point of these threads was to get good advice?!?0

half price bb for 6 mths = £22.50
full price for 6 mths = £45
Price over 12mths = £67.50
with £70 cash back your not paying for broadband for a whole year. Thats a great deal buy most peoples standards :T0
