Join student beans and you will get loads of info on special offers.

You can also find lots of stuff on the web by using google - also don't forget the MSE email every week - my DD loves it and shares with her friends.

If in London you can get Oyster card discounts and elsewhere discounted rail travel with a railcard. Just remember to carry it with you as otherwise you run the risk of having to pay the full fare.
  • when i was studying in bristol, we ate jacket spuds with beans every other night to save money for the student union bar which served pints for £1 and spirits for 50p. still here.

    In all honesty...just about anything!

If in doubt (or they don't exhibit a sign) just ask nicely and the worst they can say is 'no'. ;)

    The ones I like best:

    Topshop 10% (inc sale items)
    Warehouse 10% (inc sale items)
Miss Selfridge 10% (inc sale items)
Cinemas often do student price tickets

Young Person's Railcard: must be 16-25 or full time student of any age. Worth the £26 or so.

If you have a railcard, get it linked to your Oyster card as you get discounts on tube/bus travel.

Also get a BITE card 20% off Railway food and drink (open to anyone).

STA do cheaper flights if you're a student.

    NUS Specific
Superdrug 10% off (instore only, inc sale items)
ASOS 10% off (full price only AFAIK) Have never used bc I don't buy full price items.
    Amazon 5% off
