Could people provide a quick list of stuff you can cheaper when you flash your student card?

When I was a student (first time round) there was reduced/free entry into some pubs and clubs, discounts in various clothes and music stores, cinemas, etc. Generally those near campus. I think you can also get reduced rail fares.0

You need to have an NUS card for discounts usually - just being a student doesn't count! Go to the NUS site or look at the links from your Uni - you have to pay a fee and I think they get sent to the Uni where you are studying to collect (but I could be wrong)!0

This is only with an NUS card now although some stores aren't great at telling the difference.
Rail fares are cheaper if you buy a student pass, for £26 a year, but it's this you need to flash not your student card.
Do you have an NUS card? If not it'll probably be local deals from places around your uni, unless your uni has it's own scheme.0 -

Not true, most will do it with just a student ID card. There are some that are NUS Extra only but this is usually clearly stated.0 -
