An update - the local company will reuse the flue hole, not the flue, and will manage to fit it from inside. He has reduced the quote to £2000 for the 30kw and it includes VAT, a power flush and a wireless timer. The 8 year warranty includes all parts and labour which sounds brilliant so am starting to swing towards this company. Any thoughts? He says he has been fitting lots of Alphas because of the 8 year warranty and the parts cost much the same as any other boiler. Utterly confused but tempted by this now. Also had a quote for a Vokera Compact A with 2 year warranty, flush and inhibitor for £1600.
Council Tax £1,928.85, Fines £90.00, Old Car Tax £267.00, Gas £337.25, Electric £54.42
    Car Tax Fine £80.00, B/card Visa £470.85, RBS M/C £759.69, M&S M/C £790.00, B/card M/C £2,592.01, House Ins/Title Deeds £1,573.54, Laptop Finance £578.45, Old Car Ins £85.73, Total debt £9,607.79

Forget the Vokera. I have found them nothing but trouble.

Alpha should be ok with the 8 year warranty, but he is totally wrong about parts being the same as others.

Alpha parts are one of the biggest price rip offs in the heating industry, but then with that warranty you shouldn't need to worry about that.

Thanks gas4you. What do others think? Of all my options which is best? Alpha (£2k, 8 years), Baxi (£2.2k, 2 years) or Vokera (£1.6k, 2 years)? Thoroughly confused! Lol.
