Savings

Hi all, just looking for a bit of advise really. I'm currently saving for my wedding and have £1300 in my current account. I have a savings account with the Halifax at 2.3% APR but not sure if this is the best savings account to use? I have looked at some of the advise pages on here about all the different saving accounts but it's just confused me even more!
Any advise on which way to go would be very much appreciated
Thanks Katie

If youre a tax payer, have a look at ISA, how long before your weddingmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

The account you have is Web Saver Extra.
Why not move it to Online Saver at 2.8% for starters? Same bank, same convenience. Or shop around, you may get over 3.0%.
Then tell us how long you want to save for, what access you need, how much etc.£1300 in my current account0 -
Its getting easier to instantly move money between savings and current accounts so you should put a large part of the £1300 in a savings account if you're not going to spend it soon.
If the open Halifax's Online Saver you will get 2.8%. Its easy to open, takes just a few clicks. Or look for an instant access Cash ISA.0 -
Nationwide still do an 3.12% Mysave account, and you don't need any other Nationwide accounts to use it. An current account anywhere at any bank is fine. You can open online without any forms if you have a valid form of ID (DVLC, Passport)0
