Thinking of leaving for VM?

I have VM and pay them £35.40 p/m for:

Package L bb and 24hrs landline.

Now, I am thinking of leaving VM for:

BT 24hrs landline, and 02 bb 'the all rounder' for about £28 p/m.

Saving about £90 p/y.

I understand BT are good with phones, and what are your experiences with 02 bb and their services?

Please let me know whether is worth the swap?

  • check the LLUs in your area...

you may get a cheaper deal on sky, utility warehouse, talk talk, plus net, would not go with talk talk, but you may have a better exp with them

Taz, I had thought from your post on the other thread that you were on Medium broadband? (remember, they have said that it no longer exists for us and you'd checked your bill to see that you were still on the medium package)? Now I'm confused!!!!

Demi, don't be confused, because I am on M bb with VM for over 3 years. M and L are the same with 10MB speed, and not missing out on speed.

I have checked this month's bill, and clearly states M bb.

In this post I have put L, as this is the lowest they offer, and (M and L are the same for VM!!!!!)

l would look on the vm retentions thread before making a decision.they usually give a better deal if you say you are leaving. vm has the best bb speeds, and personally l would find it hard to go with b.t even if it was free as l have had such bad experiences with them in the past

Have you factored in the initial cost of installing the BT line though?

I am on the same boat: at the moment, I am paying VM £27ish for basic phone line (which I do not use) + M BB. As I am a Sky TV customer, I think their unlimited BB is £7.5 plus a phone line of £10.00 (one off annual £120 payment). My house was on BT before but I switched to VM when I moved in. How much do I expect Sky to charge me for connection/installation?
