there are lots of pretty girly bits in poundland at the moment like sparkly purses, jewellery boxes and sequinned pens other than that hair bands/clips, felt tips and notebooks, small craft sets from wilkinson, novelty socks, nice flavoured soap/bathbombs, bracelets, skipping rope, bouncy balls, plastic tiaras.
  • Hi

My kids think the small tins of Alphabet spag or Hello Kitty/Spiderman shapes in tomato sauce are a huge treat. I always add those in.

A jar (just for themselves) of special flavoured jam (cherry, blackcurrant or choc) is also a good stocking pad out. Put a fabric lid ontop with a fun print on.

Homemade bathbombs also take up loads of room and cause a lot of giggles at bathtime

    hope this helps!

thank you everyone for such wonderful ideas! I feel really dumb now for not having thought of them myself!!! Knew I could rely on everyone here to help me out - thank you! thank you! thank you!
  • For very very cheap (about 30p) according to tesco, why not get them some of those individual sachets of special flavour hot chocolates. I remember at that age I loved things like that as they made me feel grown up lol.

I think I found some really nice character socks in asda last year for about 75p a pair.

Claire's accessories for hairbands, bobbles etc (or any of the supermarkets these days)

I'm really liking the idea of hot chocolate sachets, and maybe a small jar of nutella (or similar) each! :T
  • My 18 year old son has a Cornish Pasty in his but I got into trouble last year for forgetting to get it out of the freezer! In my defence I was ill all over Christmas and I was feeling so grotty when I sorted out the stockings some really random bits ended up in them. Probably not suitable for your girls though.

I remember being really pleased with a packet of crisps one year in my stocking. The other thing that perhaps you could put in is one of those fancy little packets of tissues. What about things like gloves or mittens? Primark usually sell them cheaply, they also sell fleecy bedsocks.
