How about arranging a nice old-fashioned, tea party? You could have small tables with triangluar sandwiches and cupcakes all served on cake stands with pots of tea and wine. You could play dance band and swing music (think Frank Sinatra etc). This should be possible to do in a village hall, a large pub room with friends helping out. If you could then also manage to book a dance lesson too at the same venue this might work out well and all indoors should the weather be bad. I am a tomboy too - a jeans and no make-up kind of girl and would be happy with something like this as people can get as dressed up or down as they want.0

The bride to be is normally a jeans girl, not into make up etc

What about a life drawing class?
There's a company near me that provides a good looking chap to model, drawing supplies and a few bottles of wine to help everyone relax!0 -
