Check the small print when you order it, that's where the t & Cs will allow them to do this,

It probably said you had to cancel it at the end of your free trial if you didnt want any more, thats the norm.
You fell for the oldest trick in the book

But if love film got your money, you must have given them your bank/card details.

That's the bit I struggle with.

Was it a free trial, or a trial that cost £7.95? ;)

  • Hi just a update out of good will they refunded me half my money back £30 !!!!!!!!!!!
Better than nothing, but it is a crafty way of sucking people in, even the bank said that.
  • We have just been caught out by the clear smoke free trail, send 7.95 for postage ,what they are not telling you in the advert is you have 15days to send the FREE!!!!!! item back if you are not happy,We didnt even recieve the item until well after the 15days stated, they then TAKE 59.95p from your bank account(theft)phoned them up on a number of occasions ,to no avail, they actually cut me off.My son got through after a while and said he was contacting the A.S.A.(ADVERTISING STANDARDS AGENCY) because of false advertising and not stating these conditions in the advertisement. They have said they will refund the money within 72hrs, we will see!!!!IF NOT we will contact the A.S.A.BEWARE OF THESE PEOPLE ,THEY ARE ROGUES.This is supposed to be free>

*sigh* It's not theft, you agreed to them taking the money in the terms and conditions:
You will be billed Seven Pounds and Ninety-Five Pence (£7.95) or when a special offer occurs, Four Pounds and Ninety-Five Pence (£4.95) Postage & Packaging for your 15 day Risk-Free Trial of ClearSmoke Electronic Cigarettes. Upon expiration of your initial 15 day trial period, if you have decided to keep the ClearSmoke Electronic Cigarettes Products and have not cancelled your trial, you understand and agree that your Active Credit Card will be billed the one-time fee of Fifty-Nine UK Pounds and Ninety-Five Pence (£59.95) for the full ClearSmoke Electronic Cigarette starter kit

    *sigh*
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

For future reference, instead of relying on the testimonials they have cherry-picked and posted to their website try doing a general internet search. Or even search the MSE forum. This has come up before...
