Google Calendar - Great cashback reminder

This site is great for reminding you of cashback claims.
Sign in with your Gmail account or sign up for a Google Account if you don't have one. Find the date that you need to send a cashback claim in and put all the details in, put as many details in as you can such as the network, bill number, etc. so in 12 months time you'll understand it.
Then in the options box choose a reminder of 1 day and save. Repeat for each claim date.
When you've done this click settings and notifications, from here you can register your mobile and have notifications sent by SMS. Make sure you click the options for notifications by email and SMS. When your cashback claim is due in however many months you'll get a text.

strange but I just set an event 15mins ago in my google calender for 12:00 midnight and I didn't get a sms notification! Any idea as to why? Any help much appreciated.0
