i have had one out of stock email on the l6 with the 75 quid hmv voucher and so did my boyfriend, but none on the others!

I still think its funny that they say my phone is out of stock when it clearly isn't!

I received a phone on Thursday. It was delivered by DHL. I could track the dispatch etc from the DHL site. I could track the progress of my order from the official O2 site, under my login.

My friend received an email stating her phone was out of stock - she phoned customer services, spoke to an operator who substituted the phone with another - it arrived on Friday.

I don't subscribe to this being a scam - I'm puzzled, but then again, with all the weird and wonderful offers phone companies throw at people (free Xbox 360, mini moto bikes, PC's etc) perhaps this is just a way of virally driving customers to their site, obtaining details and then offering other deals for those unlucky enough not to get the freebie?

I'm keeping my phone but at the first sign of any nonsense they can have it back.
