Help needed?

Can anyone give me a bit of help, i could get on a website a few weeks ago (just normal clothes shopping site) now for the past week it is very slow to load and either times out before it loads or loads a bit with 1 or 2 pics but other text & pics don't show just a box with a cross in, it's driving me mad i'm missing out on bargains:eek:, lol, any advice? have switched to chrome incase that helped but it's no better, no worse!

Is it just on that one site that you have problems? If so, have you tried deleting cookies (preferably all)? Hang on, sorry, if switching browsers causes the same problem maybe it's something else.

I'd run an antivirus scan and antispyware too, but perhaps someone else will come with a more precise idea.

It sounds like it may be a DNS cache issue, try and flush the local DNS cache and see if that resolves the problem.

have done the flush thing, still the same! every other site i can get onto other than that 1, it's driving me mad!!!! Thanks for helping, i'm not brilliant with technical stuff !!

I've just loaded it with no problem. I use Opera. I tried it also on my never used IE (hate it) and it loads too.

Did you delete the actual cookies?

OP: just tested in FF8 and no real issues; unless it's a particular page causing u issues? but otherwise it loads absolutely normal for me. which browser? can u try another? try ie too.

Won't load on ie or chrome, does pretty much the same thing, had someone bring thier laptop over to check and it's loading fine from my provider here, so must be my comp? i sometimes get a few pics and text, but never everything, and it often goes off as it takes too long to load, yes i have cleared cookies and checked virus thing! Thanks folkes for trying

I assume you load the site from the link stored in your favourites or bookmarks? Try to google the site and load it anew. If it loads that way, delete your bookmark and replace it with a new one of the loaded page. I had to do that once and it worked, so maybe it may help you too.

Nope, have tried both ways and it's just not having any of it lol, thanks for trying!

This is so weird! I have no other suggestions to offer I'm afraid, so let's hope someone who knows mor will come along soon. I really want to find out too, now!
