As a current npower customer I applied for this offer online last Thursday. I definitely did read somewhere else other than MSE that it applied to existing customers, but tracking back, I can't find where atm.

Although I received a confirmation email from moneysupermarket, I haven't had anything from npower yet. It does say they will send the welcome pack out within a week so there's another couple of days yet, but am wondering a bit about it as npower are usually very prompt about sending out confirmation emails.

I keep checking to make sure the offer is still current. My suspicious mind is worried it'll get pulled and they'll deny all knowledge of receiving my application, as the money supermarket confirmation email makes no mention of the £100 voucher offer.

    Will update the thread later.

    Edit to add

If you type your details into the moneysupermarket comparison site, then click on the Npower Go Fix8 link, it will confirm the deal is available to existing customers.

    Hi

I am worried and suspicious too. As a current Npower customer on a different tariff, I applied (via Uswitch) to be transferred to Npower Go Fix 8 Dual Fuel on 11 November. Still haven't had any info on the post from Npower. I have a confirmation email from Uswitch though about it. So, not quite sure where I stand to be honest.

    Cheers

    Hi All,

Received letter today from npower as my sign online 20 tariff is ending 1st january 2011. I shopped around and the go fix 8 with the £100 voucher comes out best, i rang npower about it they confirmed they are doing it but it must be signed up for through a broker to get the vouchers. e.g moneysupermarket etc.

My concern was that as i was 'switching' through moneysupermarket npower would charge me the £20 per fuel cancellation charge as i was submitting my details before the end of the tarriff date, so i phoned them and they said as i was sticking with them the charge would not apply and my account would be annotated with this just incase the charge did go through accidently.

So if you are an npower customer, talk to them about it and you need not worry about being charged.

    Hope this helps

    Ben

I would give npower a ring, this is what I did yesterday and they confirmed they had received the moneysupermarket application. (Mind you that is still no proof, if I don't receive the pack and they pull the deal............but that's just my nasty suspicious mind working overtime again!!)

In fact, in the light of the fact that you applied 12 days ago and haven't heard anything, yet they promised a 7 day response, I think I will keep phoning them and hassling them until I get something through ;-)

OP, just to update, I received my letters from npower today, within the 7 days response time they indicated. My previous tariff had ended and I was on the standard online tariff.

The letters advise that they moved me onto Go Fix 8 tariff on the day they received my online application ie 17th November, so if anyone is thinking of applying online, it might be worth existing npower customers submitting a meter reading just before you apply.
  • Hi, does anyone know when u receive the vouchers, I have received a letter today from npower confirming they changed my tariff, which has been effective since 17th November, but no vouchers, does anyone know do they come separately, or do they come from the comparison site you switched through????

They come from npower within 6 weeks of final fuel changeover. Plus, whatever deal you were offered from the middleman.

I signed up via iammoving.com, never had been with npower, but the house we've moved into has had npower supply. All started well, got a welcome letter, but then a week later got another one saying that since they already supply the property I don't need a new contract and they'll carry on supplying as before. I called up and was told that I wouldn't be getting any vouchers either. That peeved me off, I've never been with them and should be considered a new customer. What do I care that the house just happens to be supplied by them already! The representative was sympathetic but I didn't get anywhere. Needless to say they won't be supplying this house for much longer, I'm looking around to switch.

Read my posts in this thread !

I think the moral of your story is to always also ring and check with the actual provider. Trust no-one to act on your behalf without double-checking!!!
  • I managed to do it and recieved the vouchers quickly as an existing customer (my previous online tarrif had come to an end).
