Disaster - Mobile Addict

Hi All
This is my first post but wondered if anyone can give advice. We took out contract for 2 mobile phones through Mobile Addict. The line rental is with 3. It was for £35 a month for each phone but with a cashback of £183.90 at the end of 6 months and another £183.90 at the end of 12 months (this is for each phone!!). Sent everything off correctly (recorded delivery). Husband rang today to check progress on cashback - DISASTER!! Mobile Addict no longer trading. Rang Consumer Advice - nothing to be done!! Not a Limited company it would seem. Hope nobody on here is in same position but does anyone have any advice to offer?
Thanks
Claire

ByNot a Limited company...
You should also check the terms of your contract.0 -
I don't think you can do anything I'm afraid except put it down to very bad luck. 3 won't help, as it it is nothing to do with them. The cashbck deal was between you and phone addict.
Sorry not to be of any help0 -
This unfortunately is one of the risks you take when entering a cashback deal and you are not going to get any cashback now and you are still have to continue the contract with three.
A Google on this company brings back very little. You've took a gamble signing up with a company with very little background, a gamble that hasn't paid off.0 -
Mobile Addict was a brand of Mobile Solutions Online Ltd. Their most established brand was Themobs.com.
Mobile Solutions Online Ltd. filed for voluntary liquidation in November 2006.0 -
Hi all
Thanks for your replies - I know I'm not going to get anywhere with this one - hopeless case!!0 -
still if there is anyone/address you can write to try to persue it, and contact/hassle 3 about cancelling the contract as the company has gone bust and it was 3 who granted the company rights to sell on their behalf so should take some responsibility, worth a try.0

Contact the receiver/liquidator. If the claim has been received then you may be able to get some money back if the outstanding customers are shown as creditors of the company. You will not get all of your money back but may get some small amount, so it may be worth a try . It really depends on what assets the company had when it went into liquidation.0

Hiya - when I search for Mobile Solutions Online their website still exists and to all intents and purpose it looks as though they are still trading. Trying to get an answer from them with regard to Mobile Addict being part of their Group but no success so far.0

I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0
