If you have the option to "snooze" your anti-virus, it is switching it off for a pre-determined time i.e. 15 minutes. I have never needed to switch off anti-virus when installing but if it say to so, then just remember to switch it back on again.

I have tried that but its telling me to uninstall the anti virus(AV) as there may be a conflict between the zone alarm & the virus protection if I uninstall it can I reinstall it later?? or do I have to install a different anti virus.

Is it just Zone Alarm or Zone Alarm Security Suite?

You should not need to uninstall your anti-virus to install Zone Alarm, I never have! What happens if you ignore this message? Did you try switching it off?

Which anti-virus? I would guess that if you click on the Exit in the tray icon it will turn the program off.

Just install Zone Alarm, it should be OK. I have never uninstalled any anti-virus when installing ZA.
