Help wanted

Hi there. Just some advice needed please.

I have a Nokia 6111 (on contract since August last year). Anyway it stopped charging so I took it to the o2 shop and it wouldn't charge for them either. They tried it out in the shop and confirmed it was a faulty handset and sent it to be fixed. Got phone back and it still wouldn't charge so I took it back to the o2 shop along with the charger and as fate would have it that was not working either (I have my suspicions that was the problem 1st time round but there we go).

Anyway, I asked what would happen now, would they send me a new charger and the snotty sales woman was really rude and said "no, that's your responsibility, it's not covered by warantee". Fair enough if it is but is she correct? I would have thought that as it was sold to me as a package that the whole package would be under warranty.

At the moment I cannot use the phone and due to financial constraints cannot buy a new charger yet and I have lost nearly a whole months worth of phone use so far and it is peeing me off.

So should i ask for a new charger or is it truly my responsibilty, I mean a charger isn't perishable like batteries or lightbulbs is it? Any help would be greatly recieved.:confused:

Please note: I was not claiming on insurance, it was under the manufacturers warranty.

    cant you go to a local independant shop/market stall and ask them to try a couple of chargers for you?

    basically, yes. if they tried another charger instore and it worked you need another charger

    to be honest, i don't know.

    sony ericsson offers a 12month warranty on accessories such as the battery and charger, so you may be able to get it replaced under warranty ( i dont know much about nokias warranties, so i dont know whether they have a warranty on accessories)
