Oh dear me. Looks like you are where you always were and always will be- below average of the below average. At least you have your hand to rely on to make a living. Eh?

Yep, my hands got me a house deposit/possible house.

Sometimes i am not below average, usually its when there is a boom on and wages go through the roof that im fitting on site:T.

I think once im settled in my house i will just work during the boom times and relax and enjoy life in the bust times.

The only bill i plan on having when i retire is a bar bill:)

    Did you get changed:rotfl:

You'll probably have to factor in repair costs for your windows and doors..... there is a reason why people don't buy in scummy areas...

If i had to repair any windows or doors (which i wont) it would cost me next to nothing to do so.

The area i live in now is scummy and you are right about nobody buying here, lots did during the boom though, strange that eh.

I wouldnt call the area im moving to scummy, im quite pleased that i can buy a house in an area i like for way way below the average uk house price.

The fact that it is increasing in value is a side issue ... only to be realised when I take my equity and retire.

More and more people seem to believe that in years to come they can use their property or properties as an equity release tool for retirement. There was an article last week suggesting that the number of people planning to do this has jumped.

I just wonder who all these people are going to sell their houses to. It a good idea when the few do it but when majority plan to do it I think they may find that there are few than can afford to help.
