Which is either a (nother) lie as you then went on to talk of downsizing when you retire, or I am totally gobsmacked that you represent a select section of pensioners.
Bit out of step with todays world aren't you?

I think they let old people work now and not forcibly retire them so he probably also gets his £100k salary and his winter warmth grant....?
I imagine that helps pay towards fuel in his 'yacht' or his 'Aston Martin'...Dont wait for your boat to come in 'Swim out and meet the bloody thing'0 -
I get attacked whenever I say what my property is worth - so, I won't bother this time - all I will say is that £100,000 may get you a Studio Flat (where the lounge is also the bedroom, bed comes out the wall).
Houses here, of around £700+ are selling very fast, and at asking prices.
I know where you are from, Detroit because you can snap up properties for about that (and cheaper) there

To remove distortion from the sales mix.
And both Halifax and Nationwide show prices up last month, and Nationwide is now year on year positive too.

Actually Hamish, thats what mix adjustment is intended to do.
It doesn't mean it is completely succesful.
Its certain that both indexes have seen their fair share of volatility.
And as has been asked before, I truly would love for you to explain how mix adjustment stops the UK average from being skewed by one region or another.0 -

You could have just said a while back that you were 5hitting it because house prices are falling and this is preventing you from retiring.
Just stick at it mate, i know it cant be nice to be stuck with a mortgage when you should have retired years ago.
From things you have said in the past it sounds like you dont mind a bit of hard work so i know you will be fine in a good few years time.
Make a sig and be the first member of "paying the mortgage off before im 85 club" so we can all follow your progress.0 -
