downgrading mobile phone tarriff

Hi,

Im sure i read somewhere on here that after so many month a mobile phone provider has to downgrade your tarrif if you so wish? what im wondering is does this apply to the Apple I Phone? I never use my minutes, messages or internet that is on my current tarrif and have found one that is more suitable to me and would save me some £££££. But i am aware that the whole i phone businees and tarriff can be a whole different kettle of fish?

any advice much appreciated?

I think it depends on your provider, I know Orange will allow you to downgrade ONE tariff after a certain amount of time. Not sure how long 6/12 months maybe?

They don't have to, but the T&C of some providers allow downgrading: Escape Your Mobile Contract. I am pretty sure that the information on '3' network in this guide is incorrect.

It is the same for all phones.
