Why would they want to?
If the price goes up before the contract has been accepted (usually on delivery) then the customer has the legal right to refuse to pay extra and ask for a full refund.
If the price drops before delivery, the customer has in most cases, the legal right to cancel the contract and obtain a full refund.0
