Sent item parcelforce - collected from post office

Greetings,

I sold an xbox recently and sent it via Parcelforce 48 in order to get an EPOD etc, now the buyer obviously wasn't in and the parcel was sent to this sorting office. Having been to the sorting office myself many times I know you can just turn up and claim any old thing, the tracking details say;

10-11-201114:53GB DEFAULT DEPOTCollected by addressee10-11-201114:53GB DEFAULT DEPOTDelivered09-11-201113:35GB DEFAULT DEPOTAddressee advised to collect from Post Office

Is this enough to cover me with paypal? I'm guessing not. I deliberately chose parcelforce because they upload the signature etc.

    When buyer collects the signature will be obtained, then you are safe against an INR.

    Confused. If the buyer hasn't picked it up yet there won't be a signature. So contacting parcelforce is a bit pointless.

    As per OLiver- there is no need to contact Parcelforce yet as th etracking states it is being held at Post office.

    For a paypal claim buyer has to collect it- until they sign for collection it has not been delivered. Parcelforce have no control over when and if buyer collects.

    ^^

    he has collected it. That's why I was wondering about the signature?

    The blurb on parcelforce website states;

    Real time tracking and online electronic signatures upon delivery

    you will have the tracking number, so you can go onto the RM website or PF website enter the tracking number and should be able to get an electronic imprint of the signature 2 days after he has signed for it

    2 days? Is that for sure? All that's showing on PF website with tracking number at the moment is;

    Date Time Location Tracking Event

    10-11-2011 14:53 GB DEFAULT DEPOT Delivered

    Won't this tracking showing collection by the recipient be sufficient for most items? It is only high value (over £150?) items where Ebay require an online signature.

    Why are you even worrying about this so much at the moment?

    Sent the buyer a message asking if they're happy, could they leave feedback, most likely the user is spending all their time playing CoD with no time to leave feedback ;)
