    Which station is this?

From the times you have given. Point to the station opening times and not
    the Booking office times.

My local station 'March' is open 0530 - 2300. The Booking Office 0700- 1800

He should try tomorrow morning after 0700
  • its Dudley Port tried Tipton tonight, Dudley was closed last night, Tipton was closed tonight, he works there and needs tickets every week, london midland were a waste of time(just stating the opening hours)
    thnx
  • I just had a look at London Midland's Website. It looks if the Webmaster has used the station opening times and
    not the booking office times.

A small station like Dudley Port, The Booking Office will only be open for the morning peak hours (0700-1000)
The Booking Office opening times should have been displayed at the station., Did he not check?
  • i have booked the tickets for him online, he only has to pick them up at the office as there was no other option, no booking office times just ticket office times, they have no self service machine so havent a clue what he should do,, hes only just gone 17 and only went down last weekend to start work, so hasnt a clue about hiccups in the system
  • ooo sorry and thankyou for looking,
i`m in overprotective mother mode as he just thinks he`ll jump on the train with his booking ref and collection ref numbers :(

  • ohhh !!!!!!, thanx patman.
i just wonder what he`s supposed tio do if the office is shut, it didnt say anywhere that the ticket office was closed, he has bought and payed for his tickets online so he should be able to pick em up from somewhere if its closed, maybe birmingham new street ??

He would need the card that was used for payment as well as the booking ref. All part of the ant-fraud system

Booking Office is the same as ticket office. ie You book a ticket, Booking ref

Taken from the London Midland site http://www.londonmidland.com/lm/en/Information/TicketOnDeparture.aspx#Ticket+on+Departure

If the ticket machine is not working (or there is no machine) and the ticket office is closed, please inform the conductor on board your train, and print out your tickets from another ticket machine at the next available opportunity.
  • He has his bank card and all the details he needs. There probably wont be a conductor to help him so he`ll have to try at Birmingham.. what a nightmare, will have to sort out return fares to pick up from this end, cant go through this every week.
  • does he have one of those new fangled talking boxes that he could use to phone them and ask?
