laptop £499 - checked on internet and seemed about right. Was a £399 version but they suggested I would be better with the graphics card in this one
Printer £34.00
HD £97Thank you for this site :jNow OH and I are both retired, MSE is a Godsend0 -
HD3000 Graphics is still onboard as oppose to 'Discrete', though performance should be good.
Price is £450 here But if you are happy to purchase for more, that is your choice. But with the money saved, you can pay for an Acer Advantage 3 Year Collect & Return Warranty, including accidental damage cover £29.99
The laptop has a USB 3.0 port, so it would make more sense to have purchased a USB 3.0 HDD. In theory, over ten times faster access. £100 will get you a USB 3.0 Samsung or Prestige.
The price of the Epson is about right. £30 from Amazon. Cheap inks at least.
We can only give advice. The choice is yours.0 -
Laptop £449 here too
Remember that you get extra protection when buying online. You will have seven working days to evaluate the product.
If you wish to install a new Office product, you will have to uninstall the other versions first, including Activation Assistant, reboot and then install.0 -
Yes, have got them
3 month trial of McAfee and they suggested delete it and use AVG
Norton not on, just an online help facility
The HD is USB 2.00
Forget about AVG. It might be better than before, but it wasn't that helpful before.
Avast 6 appears better, though no need to install the included Google Chrome and Homepage Hijack.
McAfee Consumer Products Removal tool
Reboot after using. Then you can install Avast 6.0 -
Thanks
Just put all my data onto HD. Despite being USB 2.0 was very quick. delighted with it and so pleased to have my stuff backed up at last.
useful info on Mcafee removal tool. That is my first job as soon as internet connection sorted.
Will then load either Avast or AVG.
Are they both the same in terms of advert pop ups?Thank you for this site :jNow OH and I are both retired, MSE is a Godsend0 -

Forget about AVG. You will be coming here when you get an infection, not to the 'lovely lads'.0 -
