Has anyone used zapper.co.uk for selling dvds / books / cds?

My experience of zapper has been awful. A similar story to many previous posts; informed that many of the items sent were damaged etc. The worst thing however has been chasing the cheque, which I have now been waiting 3 weeks to receive. Although I've had a response to some of my e-mails, I really feel like I've been robbed. I will never use zapper again and cannot express my frustration emphatically enough. Truly an awful service.0

I have compared music magpie, Zapper and whoopedoo, whoopedoo pay the most music magpie have gone as low as 18p on some items. Whoopedoo pay the most
Not on blu-rays they don't - just offered me 30p for one that's been offered £2.00 - £20.00 on other sites.
Any one know if ddvd-exchange, ziffit, momux (uk), or Zumu (uk) are legit?
eta: Zumu offers the most but their facebook is full of people waiting to be paid & searching for independent reviews just gets people complaining about the US version (they claim to be separate)."And suddenly I find myself listening to a man I've never known before,Telling me about the sea..."0 -
In early December, I did a direct comparison between zapper.co.uk and Music Magpie. On the same day, I sent a package of DVDs and CDs to zapper and one to music magpie. The goods arrived 3 days later at zapper. The same day I was advised of receipt, then later in the day that zapper had accepted all. The cheque was cut and sent within 24 hours. By December 12, everything was done and I had received my payment. Absolutely fantastic service.
In contrast, the package for Music Magpie arrived the next working day, but it was only 5 days later that MM actually told me it had arrived. Then followed a string of ridiculous emails, about a week apart for 3 weeks, saying things like "we are checking your items". A week later " we have accepted your items" then " we have sent the message to write your cheque" ...then a week later " yay! We have printed your cheque!" On 27th December, I was finally told the cheque was being sent...obviously clearly timed to ensure I did not receive the payment until 2014... Appalling service. Music Magpie were clearly managing their cash for the year, even if it meant screwing their customers (who would have obviously liked to have their cash before Christmas).
What a contrast... zapper paid on aggregate better prices and paid 3 weeks earlier than Music Magpie! There is no contest in my book... Use Zapper every time.0 -
Whatever you do, do NOT use Zumu. There is another customer that has just posted on the zumu Facebook page that they are waiting 2 and a half months now for a cheque. My post suggesting that Zumu put a warning on their main webpage, that things are delayed due to Christmas and demand, was deleted. Hardly any posts on their Facebook page, suggesting similar culls, or just that they are not that popular.
I agree with the other comments about using Zapper, all done and dusted in a week, one water damaged book rejected, no arguments from me about that, I would not be surprised given the source of some of my books. I trust them far more than I trust Zumu, who still have not paid for the 14 November batch of books that they acknowledge they received.0 -
So has anyone used Ziffit? They are paying way more than any of the others for a test batch of 15 cd's.0

What I really miss is a website where you can compare the prices of the different online selling websites. So you can be sure to always get the best prices for your old CDs. Lucky me I recently found such a website. Here is the link if you want to check it out. I think you can really benefit from this site.

Got my cheque in about 2 weeks (it was over Xmas) for about 60 CDs. DVDs and a couple of english textbooks which got £10 each!! Would definitely recommend - nice support people too.0

I have 14 books I need selling ASAP. Looked on Zapper and they offered me £30 give or take... Each textbook I am looking to sell cost around that much each! Won't be using this site! Would rather go to a boot market! Not impressed at all.0
