    Hi Bod,

As previously advised attempting to breach DPA is a serious issue and we will not advise any attempts to do so. The Data Protection Rules are in place for a reason and should be adhered to.

@Donny-Gal if you register on the forum we can look into your issue in more depth.

    Regards

I agree. But TT staff would likely NEVER KNOW. I would hazard a guess that there's already a percentage of your forum users whose accounts are being managed by people other than the account holders, and OCE's won't have a clue about this as they will have already passed DPA. ;)

    Talk Talk...Disaster:(

I left BT which was working fine to try and save some money....big mistake:

    1. Payments - Paid £114 up front on the 18th Nov, however, TT helped themselves to the £114 again in my first bill, £119.50 went out today (28/12/2011) putting my bank account in the red. Finally got off the phone and now have to send them both statements showing the payments and then within 7 days I will be contacted regarding the payment.

    2. Broadband (bearing in mind it was working fine with BT) - I was without broadband from 5th Dec thru 23rd Dec - I had to have an engineer round for the broadband, for which I have been charged £49.99. All the engineer did was to put an adaptor in the test socket and pluged the phone and router into there.

So far there has been no financial reward for joining TT, please bear this in mind before joining them.

Maybe you should tell your Data Controller that. The recent "problem" with marketing preferences fails data protection principles.

It's back up (although DFEOJM still thinks it is down). Nothing on the TTMF about the outage though.
  • I'm wanting to leave Talk Talk, not through any issue bit I want to switch to a TV inclusive package. I phoned them to cancel and arrange adate for termination. I was told I would have to pay £83 to end my contract early (I have never signed a contract), was passed to 3 different people and then was told they couldn't arrange a termination date as the computer wouldn't let them. (Computer says "No"???), then I was told the only date I could terminate was 9th Jan when I wanted 21st Jan and I should ring back nearer the time. Even more determined to move now.

Go to the TTMF, create an account and ask there in the CS&B forum. They'll be able to get to the bottom of what's happened. (You've possibly been signed up to a new contract following a sales call but without your knowledge or agreement - there have been a few threads on the TTMF where this has happened).
