I think there should be a "PPC Troll hall-of-fame" where classic posts by PPC trolls are displayed so people can laugh at them.
@ DJdave - most likely the monkey in the car-park wrote the wrong number-plate down, or UKCPS can't afford to pay the DVLA bride or the first you will hear will be a letter from a debt collectors asking for payment in the hundreds.0 -
Cannot remember it all but basically a long rambling post with several points, namely that you are lying, swore and used foul language to his attendant who claims he did not issue the ticket, it was his mate who he has just relieved and by an amazing coincidence had now gone off duty.
It was all the fine detail he included that made you realise his attendant must have the memory of a mastermind champion.
I think he stated something to the effect that out of the goodness of their hearts and to show how compassionate UKCPS are they have cancelled the ticket but I would not rely on that piece of information unless you actually get confirmation.
Maybe UKCPS should include a 'bad language charge' on their signs. All 'contractually agreed' of course.0 -
Not to mention a 'Clothes Wearing Charge' of say £50 if you use the car-park wearing any clothes, all 'contractually agreed' of course, what did you mean you didn't see it written on the sign which is high on the other side of the road when you come into the car-park in small-print type text0

Anyway, I don't mind what they do, I'm not paying it. As I said in my first post: no contract was formed, I parked properly, and their charge is a penalty which doesn't reflect any alleged actual loss.0 -
I received a parking ticket here also, the fine is for £100 but apparently will go down to £60 if I pay within 2 weeks, however I have no intention of paying. I parked in the carpark early on Monday morning, just as the shops opened, the carpark was almost empty and I didn't see anyone issuing tickets but maybe I just wasn't looking as I wasn't doing anything wrong. I was meeting a friend so left the carpark in the opposite direction to the shopping centre to meet her on the main road, we then walked to the shops together. It appears 2 minutes after leaving my car I received a ticket for 'leaving the site'?? Yes I did, but I also came back and used the shops that the carpark is there for! Also there are no obvious signs around that state you are not allowed to leave the site. If there's any at all. (I need to return to look for signs). I was going to appeal because I think this is totally outrageous, but after reading MSE's advice, I think I shall just ignore it.
I googled 'Parking ticket Dockside Chatham' and this was the first link to appear so I thought I'd post my story in case anyone else has had a similar experience.0 -
Can you please post the above in a new thread , as you can see this was last replied 7 months ago - thanksExcel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
Yes, the car park owner has suffered no financial loss as a result of you 'leaving site' and hence the issuing of a ticket for a such a reason is futile.
Ignore it, and all the stupid legal mumbo jumbo letters that will follow.Je Suis Cecil.0 -

There are some signs, you probably didnt see/overlooked/ignored them though as they have a massive essay on them about the contract you are entering into etc..
I parked outside of a marked bay when I went there right in front of the parky and didnt get a ticket - where abouts did you park and where did you leave the site from?Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently!0
