My neighbour's always playing loud music- sometimes at 4 in the morning! Doesn't bother me though, so I don't see why my loud music should bother him.Please do not do this between the hours of 11PM and 8AM unless you live in a detached mansion miles from anywhere.

With the Logitech z5500 kit , and probably most others, you can turn the bass up with the volume not too loud and the surround/centre turned down. Doesn't deafen anyony but hard to ignore.
