My neighbour's always playing loud music- sometimes at 4 in the morning! Doesn't bother me though, so I don't see why my loud music should bother him.

With the Logitech z5500 kit , and probably most others, you can turn the bass up with the volume not too loud and the surround/centre turned down. Doesn't deafen anyony but hard to ignore.

It doesn't. That's actually an excellent idea. Am looking into getting one now.

I finally decided to go with the Acoustic Energy - Aego M speakers. I think they will suit my purpose
