Dear BC, I feel an urge for some cupboard sorting. :j2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:

Before I was pregnant I had an 8 week meal plan (with associated basic shopping list to accompany each week), and I rotated it. In 8 weeks no meal was repeated (unless LO) and was organised to have vegertarian, 2 x fish, chicken and alternated weeks beef/pork.
Then I reused it over and over and the family loved it... I printed it in colour and had it inside the kitchen cupboard
Now... well... I eat pork chop and cauliflower cheese most days because everything not bland makes me sick! and the boys are fending for themselves!
But you sound perfectly normal to me (and I am glad I am not the only one who goes to these lengths!)We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
Hi all,
really pleased this week with planning....can see a shelf in the freezer!! So glad I started, I feel really motivated and will be joining next weeks challenge. Have found things I really didn't know I had so have set the teens a challenge to come up with recipes (we will see). Not sure how I can sneak liver into the plan though. Particularly pleased with holding back some sweetcorn and making it into a sweetcorn and chicken soup as a starter for the sweet and sour pork: just used a chicken stock cube, a chicken thigh I had frozen chopped up small, splash of soya and some cornflour to thicken, threw in the sweetcorn and voila! Think I will add costs to next week as I got some real bargains in the discounted aisles.
Hope you are all doing well

I plan 4 weeks at a time, does that make me a saddo? Will answer my own question by telling you that I have sectioned both the cupboard and freezer into 4 sections (weeks) and have all the stuff needed (tins, packet mixes, jars, frozen meat, veg etc) in the corresponding sections. this makes it soooo easy to find what you need, esp in the freezer.
Do any of you go to this extreme or do I really need to get a life??JulieGeorgiana wrote: »Before I was pregnant I had an 8 week meal plan (with associated basic shopping list to accompany each week), and I rotated it. OMG you've both totally inspired meI have been a meal planner for a couple of years now and usually lurk on the weekly threads for some inspiration for food ideas, but for some reason it's never really crossed my mind to do more than a week at a time ! With baby #1 due in 2 weeks and a brand new freezer, I know what I'll be doing tomorrow!!! God, am such a geek, looking forward to mealplanning!
