Meal Plans WB 14th November 2011

Another week (which means i'm closer to giving birth... and eating nice food instead of the same old stuff over and over and over!) The start of last week went well as DH made sure the plan was followed. But I am having to eat different from the boys now which means they are pretty much fending for themselves!!! Plus by dinnertime I am pretty much not with it anymore
NB. I have Insulin Resistance and therefore eat a Low Gi/GL diet.
Friday (NO DS) - Sausage Casserole for DH
Saturday (NO DS) - LO Lasagna for DH
Sunday (NO DS) - LO Sausage Casserole for DH
Monday - [STRIKE]LO Lasagna for DH/DS[/STRIKE] I fancy Meat and Veg 'Pie'
Tuesday - [STRIKE]Pizza and Chips for DH/DS[/STRIKE] LO Meat and Veg Pie with Chips
Wednesday - [STRIKE]LO Lasagna for DH/DS[/STRIKE] LO Meat and Veg Pie with Mash
Thursday - LO [STRIKE]Pizza and Chips[/STRIKE] Lasagna for DH/DS
As you can see the boys have LO 6 days out of 7 (better then takeaways) and I will be eating whatever I can handle on the day (Pork Chop and Cauliflower Cheese most days as it's small, heartburn friendly and has a good mix of Protein/fats/veg/carbs). I do eat cooked food at lunchtime too, and can handle other foods which I can't eat in the evenings... I also eat at least 3 times a day on top of that too (to get my 2300kcals/175g carbs and 20% protein a day) yet I am still loosing weight at nearly 32 weeks along!

OK my turn :j
I have failed badly at menu planning since returning to work and we have ended up with some bad habbits due to the little bit of extra cash we started to get. But as our rental will be sold the end of Feb we need to make some big cut backs to fund our move and hopfully buy our first aussie home.
Breakfasts for us both is always toast or cereal. Lunch for hubs (when at work) will be either HM sushi, tuna mayo sandwiches or HM chicken tikka with salad, my lunches in the week will either be crakers and light cream cheese or HM chicken tikka with salad. We both get fruit at work which is a great money saver and and additional snack after lunch :j
Sunday
L - Masala spiced monk fish with bombay potatoes. - Ive never cooked these before so this is my 'try something new' recipe.
D - Leftover HM chicken liver pate with crackers and toast - this will only happen if it tastes nice as Im making this for the first time today. If its terrible we will be having cheese on toast or beans on toast.
Monday
D - Pasta with a chilli tomato sauce (store cupboard)
Tuesday
D - HM pizza
Wednesday
D - Minted lamb chops (freezer) with salad
Thursday
D - Bacon (freezer) sandwiches
Friday
D - meal out with friends via a coupon from one of these deals sites.
Saturday
L - hot dogs (freezer)
D - MH donor kebab (freezer) with salad and pitta
Shopping wise all Ive had to buy this week were the following, everything else was either in the freezer or my storecupboard.
cheese
pizza toppings
salad
pitta bread
bread
milk
cream cheese
Lamb mince
So hopfully i can save some $$$ this week!
Have a great week!

Ooooh, may I join in please? I've only been meal planning last week and this week, and I'd really like to stay on track with this for as long as possible
From Monday, then, planned evening meals as follows:
Monday - Bacon, Egg, Waffles, Beans, Mushrooms, Toast, HM ratatouille (freezer roulette result) (only 3 of us, trying to use up the B!rds Ey£ Wa££les that are clogging up the freezer (only the kids like 'em))
Tuesday - Pigeon Cobbler, Frozen Veg (random bits of pigeon were identified when we did the freezer inventory, and there are ends of various bags of froz veg to use up)
Wednesday - A$da quarter pounders, plastic cheese (what we call flat cheese squares), bread rolls (also identified in the freezer inventory!)
Thursday - *chippy night* as DD has a school presentation evening at an awkward time
Friday - Pork chops (whoopsied), Rice, Sauce, Veg
Weekends are always "pot luck", using up whatever we have to hand
I woke up this morning to find that Hubby had been shooting early and we now have a pigeon and a squirrel in the pantry - free fodder! :j0
