I have a stained glass window for sale on Ebay. Can anyone tell me if it would be possible to post it safely, as I have had some interest from far away. Thanks.

you would have to wrap up well to avaoid damage.... you probably be best sending with courier...check out https://www.parcel2go.com
they are quite cheap and use home delivery network (use to be white arrow) and dhl....think they would be safer than royal mail....0 -
you will be very lucky indeed to find any post/courier company that will insure for glass....
if it wasnt going too far I would look for a local "man with a van hire"......0 -

its ok, most courier companies dont take glass....or if they do, you are not covered if it gets broken.0 -
Id just offer to share the travel distance if the buyer is within 200 miles or so. For a fee of course!0

If you find someone to carry it make sure you wrap it with cling film. I friend of mine is an antiques dealer and he would send out a lot of mirrors / picture frames etc and would use cling film. Apparently as well as catching the glass if you "cling" it correctly it can help to keep the glass in one piece before delivery.
Sadly I can't recommend a courier as my friend would use his own van for delivery.0 -
I think you would need much more than just bubblewrap. For something like this I would not be happy posting it with less than a *very* strong cardboard box or preferably make one from plywood to go around it. The concept of being happy to drop it on a concrete floor after it is packed is a good way of judging whether the packaging is sufficient! As has been said the carrier's insurance will not cover glass but would probably cover total loss if they fail to deliver it at all.0

Initial City link delivery everything next day, and their items are packed in cages. If I was posting the item Id call my local branch and explain the situation and ask if they would be happy sending it.0
