BT Vision horror

I don't know. I've only ever used it with Sky. TV is on the wall so can't see if it has a tuner (assuming that is where it would be?)0

What do you mean by a 'BT aerial'? BT do not supply an aerial. You plug the BTV box into your own external aerial connection. Do you have one?
The tuner is built into the TV-is it a modern digital TV with a built in Freeview tuner. Make and model?
You cannot receive Freeview via Sky. What you are receiving are the Sky FTA channels from your dish-nothing to do with your aerial.
So unplug your Sky box, plug your TV tuner into the aerial and confirm if you can get a picture. If you can't, then the problem is nothing to do with BT.No free lunch, and no free laptop

To confirm for BT Vision to work you need one of these on your roof.

If you tell us the make and model of your TV we can tell you if it has a digital tuner.
BTW, If you have Sky why would you want BT Vision. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

..why would you want BT Vision at all?No free lunch, and no free laptop

bt can see if you have ever been able to use your box, in the settings it puts up all sorts of info, looking at your location there really should be no reason why you wouldnt get freeview. that said we had analogue turned off yesterday, i retuned and got loads more channels. I see BT are now on the case im sure it will get resolved,Div 1 Play Off Winners 2007

take a deep breath and don't let it get to you. these things happen all the time. I really don't know how some old people cope especially. BT are basically a !!!!!! business in business to take your money like any other business. BUT they're actually owned by people who've purchased stolen property, as we had some dodgy government once and it was once owned by us so don't feel like giving them any slack.
I would write a serious letter. Don't rant, but state your case very clearly. If you don't hear back, or you get some bullsh*t reply, write back with more detail including your condition, again, and mention this time about seeking legal advice.
I'm sure they will want to settle than go to court over this. BUT do you have a recorded delivery evidence or anything to PROVE you sent the broken box back in the first place? If not you probably don't have a leg to stand on!0
