I have an o2 contract sim with 12 months to go.

I want to give that to my mum and get myself the 3 one plan.

is there a way to transfer my O2 number over to the 3 sim?

    No. You can try asking O2 to swap numbers with some O2 PAYG sim, but this is not something that they routinely do.
