Help

I have just started using a secondhand Orange SPV C500 runnng my trusty Orange payasyougo sim. Topped up on Saturday and have only sent one text but the balance has dropped by £2.22 (£2.10 more than it should have).

I have checked the list of phone calls and there are none there, apart from balance enquiries. The phone has WAP faclities but they have neither been set up or used.

I am set up with Orange to maintain my account online but there does not seem to be a facility with payasyougo to view detailed charges to date so that I can see where the money went.

Has anyone got any ideas, preferably free ones as to how I can find out where my money has gone............and yes I am a tight git !!

I will reply to my own question as found the answer out myself thanks.

PAYG have to pay 25p to speak to customer services which I guess is fair enough. None of the free numbers seem to work for PAYG - the only one that got answered (5th time) was 0800 0791050 and the operative would only deal with contract customers.

Anyway the £2.10 was a WAP charge for 1 min 41 seconds use !! Can't comment on this as phone is secondhand but access purely unintentional - good job it wasn't connected for hours or I could have repaid the national debt.

Customer services have disabled WAP on the phone. Guess I will now have to work out how to lock the blessed keyboard to prevent accidental calls to £1 a minute chat lines that the previous owner, who is a well know perv may have set up on hot keys :-)
