Attaching images to messages

Thanks you two. I've actually tried both at some point. I've already done it Galstonian's way and nothing happened (although if I look closer theres probably something I did wrong).

I also tried to view source on the site I was trying to take the image from (a clip art site so should be OK) but it didn't open notepad at all.

I'll give both these another try though when I've next got some spare time.

Do you mean like this?

If so, press the little icon above your message when you are writing, that looks like a postcard and you will see some tabs with the letters img appear. in between the two brackets - after the first ] but before the last [ paste or write the addy that links to an image you have chosen (there are some good sites that offer you free use of ones they have produced). If you want to nick someone elses, from their posting, or you want to quote using their image, first press QUOTE on the exact post you are replying to. You will see the script of their post appear. Look for the bits between those tabs (as explained above) and copy and paste into your own!
