  • Could you try that outfit Johnny Ball is endorsing on those TV ads? Helplink theyre called, they advertise a new fitted Worcester boiler for £17 a month (probably for the rest of your life and long after the boiler is in a skip somewhere!) but in the circumstances it may be a way of getting a new boiler, fast and on tick? just a thought.

    CC limits £26000

    Long term CC debt £0

Total low rate loan debt £3000

    Almost debt free feeling, priceless.

Ex money nightmare, learnt from my mistakes and never going back there again, in control of my finances for the first time in my adult life and it feels amazing.

  • What the hell do we do ?
Not being funny, find a better heating engineer, preferably one that specialises in breakdown repair. I repair this model on a regular basis, and can get all the parts for it without any problems. Granted, it is not the best boiler ever made, but repairing is a lot cheaper than replacing.
The bad news is that you can forget getting a good breakdown specialist coming over for a free quote, anyone capable of accurate fault diagnosis will be too busy to waste time on free visits.

    Hi,

It would help to know whether yr a single parent, age, gender etc, so that itd be easier to give you some info on charities that could help you - which then you can take back to the CAB and get them to do a referral for you.

Also have you tried a credit union - they are a peoples type bank (not any kind of insurance etc company) specifically set up to help anyone who has limited means, lend them money and are only allowed to charge 2% interest.

Some credit unions have instant loans - it all depends on yr local credit union - where as others you have to put in whatever you can afford, an amount of money per wk/mth, for 3 to 6 months, and then you can borrow 3 times the amount you put in.

    Hope that helps!
