Has anyone else had problems with Parcel2go?

Hi...

I rercently sold something heavy on ebay and quoted courier as the shipping method.

I decided to use Yodel through Parcel2go. They were supposed to collect today so I stayed in all day especially yet no one has turned up.

Has anyone else had problems with this company?

Can anyone recommended any couriers that actually bother to pick the parcel up please?

I am scared I will get bad feedback now.

I've used Parcel2go several times recently, but always choose either UPS or City Link. No problem at all. Booking emails all received very quickly.
In my area Yodel appear to be rubbish at delivery with the usual lie of no one home when delivery attempted, so I wouldn't risk booking them.

With these parcel quote companies you really do rely on the individual courier and they are paid naff all per parcel.
  • Ok, I will try parcelforce instead next time. I don't understand how they can get away with it. I have wasted a whole day staying in and will have to waste another day tomorrow.

try https://www.interparcel.com, their UPS and TNT services are far more reliable than PF and Yodel put together

I use parcel to go all the time and have never had a problem with them BUT i use the drop off service where i drop them at my local newsagents and they are collected from there
  • You should never use the drop-off service thorough P2G, all sizes are all the same price direct through https://www.collectplus.co.uk, the service direct comes with more free insurance, and you can actually talk to the courier, unlike when it's booked through P2G

Emerald_starcat I'm sorry to hear about your P2G woes!

I have made the mistake of using parcel2go one too many times simply because they're prices are cheaper than anywhere else.

There's a reason why the prices are so cheap! There is a gent who comes to our workplace to pick parcels up on behalf of myhermes, he doesn't look like a courier he's just a guy in a land rover, no uniform, nothing at all, Looks very dodgy.
Last week we booked another parcel to be collected, the man turned up, collected the parcel but said he couldnt give us a collection reference because his printer was broken. Today I find out the parcel has gone missing, my eBay customer is livid (naturally) parcel2go are adamant I must claim but the parcel is only covered by default for up to £20 so I'm out of pocket by £40 at least!!

This isn't the first time either! I sent a set of speakers, one of which was broken by the courier (HDNL now Yodel I believe) would only give a 50% refund because only one speaker was damaged but the whole thing was useless anyway because they only work as a pair!

Look on Google reviews you will find ALOT of unhappy clients who say they left negative reviews and they have been removed from the P2G website. Hardly a candid or honest company in my opinion. If you have a complaint you can't really get them on the phone, they're not interested. If you have a complaint post it on twitter instead. You get a response within 2 minutes instead of getting rubbish excuses from their live operators

I'll probably take Obviouslythebests advice and use collect+ instead, they always seem to be the cheapest on P2G website anyway.

Used to use Parcel2Go,but found dealing direct with the Courier company's they use cheaper. Never had a problem with Yodel,UPS,Hermes etc. The only one i wouldn't use anymore is ANC. Never had a correct delivery from them. Twice they left parcels for me at other address's in village(left on their door steps!!),Lost an item and "Customer not Home" when they never even came to House(i'm Disabled & Housebound)
  • I've just tried to leave a review about my experience and they won't post it in their reviews section (probably because its negative). Have posted something similar on their facebook page and they removed my post!

Looks like they only like to show off people who are pleased with the service, what a candid honest trustworthy company these people are!
