This is my first posting and is an expression of the frustration over the appalling service I have recieved .I was a Pipex customer who was told my package was being taken over by Talk Talk.Did a bit of shopping around the T/T esentials was ok but Pipex couldn't offer it I had to get my MAC and migrate .I got the MAC ,prepaid 12 months line rental and got a letter saying would go live on 5/11/11.Needless to say this didn't happen .5 calls to customer service ,case escalated , call back within 48hrs .I did get one, only to be told there was a problem which was obvious any way , but no solution ,timescale etc , 2 emails and a letter all without reply. The deal offered is now 2 months late and in the meantime I am still being billed from Pipex on the very expensive tariff I was trying to escape from .To make matters worse I am being charged for calls made to them which should be free.My costs so far over the amount it would be on the essentials package I estimate to be around £40 .
Is there anyone who can offer any sensible advice to resolve this issue?I did see someone contacted the CEO how ? Ps my 1571 has now stopped working !
  • Just bumping this up.

8 days after my complaint being passed to the CEO's office, I have heard NOTHING. The PAYG 3G bill is now in excess of £70, which we had no choice but to pay so that my son can continue to work

I have now cancelled everything with TT (well, calls only I guess, as they'd already lost my Broadband) including the direct debit - no doubt they will contact me soon to find out why they could not collect payment for something that they'd already cut off.

For the person that asked, I got a (now it appears, useless) complaint raised with the CEO's office when the UK based person I finally managed to speak to, agreed that my situation was totally unacceptable and should be looked at by the complaints people.

I have ordered Broadband from BT now, and should be back online on Friday.

I will be reporting this to Ofcom when I can summon up the strength to write out the chain of non events and the sorry tale of customer disservice.
  • I have been through the whole Tiscali/Pipex/Talk Talk pass along and as money is very very tight I have been recently been looking at bills etc and finding better deals where I can.

All set to move to BT I decided to give TT a chance after beeing offered TT Essentials at 19.55 a month and a re-imbusement for being left on a discontinued package that was costing a fair deal each month.

I was told the adsl+ router would be sent out the following day and I am waiting a week later having receeved two letters saying that they are working hard to get me sorted out.

Personally I feel there is a good case for being offered the half price for new customers deal as I am a new customer with talk talk after all!!!

Secondly I have not received the re-imbursement.

Thirdly, not being a techie or engineer who works in the industry and obviously not being told by anyone at talk talk, i have had to learn after seeing references here and there about LLU`s and how I think I am now going to be with Talk Talk for line rental (not mentioned) and will probably have to pay to migrate back to BT should I chose to in the future which has not been mentioned.

  • After very long, drawn out, needlessly hard calls to Talk Talk this morning I have to wait and see if the customer service is worth anything and if the company actually has values above money grabbing.

After a long discussion with several persons who`s grasp of the english language was far from helpful, discussing how i can provide the same information that they have wrong on their database (ie pull from the air the birth date they have for me on their records which is wrong) so that I can authenticate the account to update it with the right information and hanging up, I eventually got through to someone else who went through the same questions, to which I gave the same ansers and everything was fine!!!

After receiving 2 letters and a automated message saying that putting me on essentials is taking longer than expected (but with no timeframe or reason given) I was told by "customer service" that the address they had for me did not match with Royal Mail!?!?!?!? so had to change records and everything should be in place by next week.

After asking about the line rental inclusion and the issue of LLU I had to ask, ask and ask again specifically about the LLU issues as all I got was repeated information about early contract termination. So, it is now official from Talk Talk, there is no charge incured at all should, once the term of the contract has been seen through, by changing back to a BT line from Talk Talk`s LLU.

Also after being very direct with the representative that I was given this option as a reason to stay with Talk Talk, that unless I am given the 1/2 price for 12 months introduction offer that other new customers are offered (i had to find out about it, Talk Talk never offered it) that it was very easy for me to leave and go with another provider.
