Thanks for the kind words peeps, I have certainly never ever thought of myself as being inspirational, but it's very sweet of you to say so.....
That lazy time of day again for coffee and diaries..... Ds2 has just woke up and I can hear him singing when Santa got stuck up the chimney in his room..... Love it!0 -

I totally agree lula, where I stay it's like a big village (although it is a small city) where 6 degrees of separation doesn't even come into it as not only does everyone know one another - they're practically related! I sometimes think I say too much on my diary, and like you, am very private.February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

After my routine coffee and diary catch up the day began......
Half hour drive to see DH's nan - took her presents and had a chit chat. Then, quick lunch on the run and then on to our BF's..... A sneaky sausage roll and and an advocat and lemonade (aka Christmas in a glass)..:. Chit chat and then to lidl on the way home to pick up a few bits. DH dropped us off and then continued to mr s for the final few bits and I got the house warm and cosy - Christmas lights on, candles lit etc. Feet up time. Soup from freezer is in the microwave for supper.
I've popped a few presents (from relatives) round the tree, very Christmassy.
As we were driving around it was amazing how busy it was everywhere - massive queues off the carriageways to the retail parks and huge q's to the supermarkets - felt very relieved that we are all sorted and didn't need to join in with the crowds.0 -
Good morning and happy Christmas Eve!
Ds is getting very excited now which is lovely - I just hope that he can manage to go to sleep tonight.
I need to take the boys out at some point today so that DH can move the presents from the loft to the garage, so that they can then be moved from the garage to the lounge once the boys are asleep. It's pouring down again, so maybe we'll just drive around in the car for 15 mins!
I'm really looking forward to some pottering today and will be spending some time in the kitchen.... Need to get the ham cooked, make some sausage rolls, bake some cup cakes etc... Happy days.
Wishing everyone a lovely Christmas xx0 -
Merry christmas to you to Lula.

Thanks HDK
Thanks Natty - I hope you enjoyed the eggnog latte? I had one yesterday.... Last one of the festive season. I have a Starbucks card app and they sent me a voucher for a free drink, so I got to enjoy it at no cost, and it seemed tastier that way!
Christmas was lovely but tbh I seemed to spend much of the day cooking and cleaning whilst DH played with the boys. Meh.
Boxing Day - drove to sisters and stayed the night. Day after, drove to diff family members and stayed there. Nice time but I'm so happy to be one today. I don't enjoy staying at people's houses anymore, especially if it involves sofa beds in lounges, I think I'm getting to old for that nonsense.
So, washing in, bins emptied, candles burning, bags unpacked, tidying done, enjoyed a nice coffee whilst I had a little catch up on here and now I need to do the hoovering........0 -
do you fancy doing my hoovering Lula???? promised the oh i would clean the car out , but havent done as yet!!! whoops!! xxDec 2011 £141,000 / dec 2013 £135,000/ Jan 2014 £131,000 / July 2014 £129 0000

I couldn't if I wanted - I slept funny last night on the sofa bed and I have a horrible pain going down my neck and shoulder.... The hoovering didn't it help it any.
My lovely father sent me a chq for Christmas, so I used it to pay for the last minute playmobil castle that I bought for the boys and the battering ram that I ordered on Christmas morning for them (to go with the castle).... It also pays for the Chanel perfume that I bought for myself (and kept quiet about) at the airport on my last trip (I like the idea that the perfume ended up being my gift)... Also pays for the lovely new (and much needed) pillows that I got in tkmaxx yesterday and the clothes that I bought for ds2.
I feel pathetic (should be enjoying Christmas and bla bla bla) admitting to nipping to tkmaxx yesterday for an hour but the truth is I couldn't bare to be inside any longer. I felt like I had cabin fever, not helped by being in someone else's house. So, my sister gladly joined me for a tkmaxx mission - our favourite shop to mooch around every now and then.
Hopefully the rain will stop sometime soon, I'd love to get out for a nice walk but I don't really do rain.
We only ended up with a few presents for the recycle drawer this year...... Also, by now, I've usually started next years Christmas shopping by picking up a few bargains in the various online sales .... BUT - I've decided not to bother.... I'm going to save some money every month and then just do my shopping nearer to the time.0 -
Hi Lulabelle, glad you had a good xmas. I'm skipping the sales this year as well and am going to save up monthly, I think the best deals tend to be on grabbit :money:MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
