That's right, I've had enough of that costly hobby!
I've deleted all of the links to the sites I would usually look at to try and minimise the temptation!
I was in Bicester the other day and am pleased to confirm that I wasn't at all tempted when I had a quick look in the Mul8erry shop. Going forward I shall just try and avoid going in there at all.....
Off to Heathrow this morning for a meeting which will take up most of the day, so that will keep me out of trouble!

Well, I'm very disappointed as I just received the email I have been expecting for the last 6 days...... telling me that the super gorgeous and heavily reduced purse that I had ordered for my birthday is out of stock. Grrrrrrr, makes me so cross. Why have it for sale on a website if they cannot fulfil the order. The really annoying thing is that i placed the order on Friday and then on Monday they had it for sale again but now I'm told that my order has been cancelled as they do not actually have any stock left.

Something doesn't seem quite right but tbh I was half expecting it. Sometimes you just have a feeling for these things. Anyway, on the bright side it means that I've saved some money. So I suppose I will do the wild and crazy thing of OP'ing it off my mortgage instead.

    Humph!!!!!

I've just made an additional OP before I spy something else that would make a wonderful birthday gift for myself!!
  • Hi LB, what a pain in the butt that the purse has gone and well done on the deleting of web sites for handbag purchases - maybe I will have to do the same with my shoes ones, not that I have bought any recently, or if truth be told, need any for the next 10 years.....

Big well done on the OP - roll on March when my Op fund will hit FD.

    Have a good Friday. Tilly

    Hi Tilly

I must confess that I have been having some thoughts about a certain pair of shoes with red soles...... Perhaps this could be a reward to myself as and when I reach a milestone in my mf obsession.

Or maybe a reward one the balance is cleared.....

Happy Friday to you too, x

Just discovered that i need to complete a self assessment for 2010-11....... HMRC have kindly given me until the end of April to do this, but I shall get it done within the next few days.

I shouldn't have anything to pay just a procedure that needs to be done because I received dividends above a certain level apparently. Ho hum......

DH off to the Apple store soon as his Mac Book has died. Please cross your fingers that it can be:
    *fixed
    *all date recovered
    *done very cheaply

failure on any of these three items will be a complete pain in the backside. Please lovely Apple people, I have much faith in your amazing techy brains/hands!!

Well DH is back from the Apple store....
Bill should have been £380 but thanks to a DH been charming and the person at the store being super helpful, DH made a call to Apple after some "store advice" and they agreed to do it all at Zero cost. Could not have hoped for a better result.

So, the Macbook needs to stay with them overnight and hopefully we will have a call tomorrow to say that it is fit and healthy again and ready to come home to us!

    Phew.....

SA completed and submitted and HMRC owes me a staggering 20p. So, all is well........
  • :jHurray for the zero cost laptop repair! As my husband says, "always disarm with charm".

Rubbish on the HMRC 20p... that's not going to buy a pair of red soled shoes... not even a can of red spray paint to fake it!

Haha MRV - I'm just pleased that I didn't unexpectedly end up owing them money!!

The red soled shoes will remain a dream for the time being.... I don't think red spray paint will make my Uggs look any sexier!!
