:T to DS2 :T. Probably a bit young for Rio but maybe in a few Olympic Games time he'll be BMX champion :j:j:j or the next Chris Hoy :D

Ds2 just wanted to keep going. He's 3 and can ride without stabilisers.... Watching him go round a BMx track is quite impressive although he sometimes needs a bit of a push from DH in order to get up the steep humps. But then he just flies down them always managing to keep balance and still pedals.

That's impressive, my boy is 3 and he's nowhere near doing this, must get him on his bike more :)

DH got him a balance buddy bike for his 2nd birthday.... (2 wheeler Bike with no pedals) and he mastered it pretty quickly. He's never had a bike with stabilisers so doesn't know any different. He's a crazy little dude this one.

Hey lula, sorry I've not been around...your little DS sounds like a right wee daredevil on his bike!

Hope the Easter weekend weather was a bit warmer down south, still quite brrrr with a fair bit of snow in the hills in my neck of the woods:eek:

We've had a wonderful lazy family weekend. We've played, watched films, ate nice food and just generally enjoyed each others company which has been lovely.

We are having to do to the dreaded shops tomorrow though..... We thought it was about time that we cleared out the boys wardrobes as many of their clothes are looking very worn and shabby or too small.

End result is that we have an outfit for ds2 to wear to the shops tomorrow and other than that not a lot else, so we need to buy him new clothes quick sharp!

Ds1 isn't as bad but still needs a few bits and pieces.

I don't tend to go wild with the boys clothes, just try and get what is needed and recycle where possible. Some of our friends children are always immaculate dressed and look very trendy. Ours not so much although they are always clean with is something I guess!

I figure that I'll worry about trendy clothes as and when it's something that concerns then, in the meantime, they will continue to be dressed like small boys rather than small adults.

I work with someone who dresses her 2 year old top in toe in designer - it's ridiculous.....

Fairly freezing here too...... We'll hopefully get out and about a bit tomorrow.... Hopefully this time it won't snow!
  • Hi Lula, dressing the boys like boys not small adults is far more sensible to me. Firstly they won't be learning that to look great you need a name and secondly, you won't be telling them to stop doing x, as they'll ruin their clothes. Same applied to our two as well :)

I used to love swapping the kids clothes with other families - everyone ended up with new (to them) stuff and the kids were excited to see what they had received.

Have a good day - couldn't believe the cold yesterday

Thanks Tilly, this whole cold thing is getting a wee but tedious now...
I've not quite made it out of bed yet, so we're getting off to a rather slow start!!
