That was for basically 5 adults as the kids eat the same as an adult. I am guessing my spend will reduce now my lodger has moved to their next assignment.
Funny to read that back as I am still saying the same things today :rotfl:

Hi Lula, I buy huge hound food on line now, so yep, I have a savings pot for it :rotfl::rotfl:
Tilly2004 £387k 29 years - MF March 2033:eek:
2011 £309k 10 years - MF March 2021.
Achieved Goal: 28/08/15 :j0 -
Cooked the pasta sauce - used some for a pasta bake for th boys.... Leftovers for DH lunch tomorrow.
Enough sauce to freeze two portions for future use.
DH and I cooked dinner together and we had haddock, chorizo and new potatoe one pot type thing. Got it from the BBC good food site. Was quite yummy.
I'm having a very late lunch meeting tomorrow, so no food required for me. DH and the boys will have spag Bol (portion of Bol in the freezer) and leftover garlic bread from today.
Need to go food shopping on Thursday. DH off into hospital on thurs for a little op, hopefully he won't have to stay in over night. I will drop him at the hospital and then do the shopping. On the bright side, if I go, I will spend less.0 -

John Greed jewellery are having a 24 hour flash sale on their outlet stock, basically all of the stuff that's in the sale. The code JANFLASH13 gives 50% off the already discounted prices.
I've just ordered some Swarovski earrings for my friends 40th - Originally £50 and I for them for £22. And, I ordered a Swarovski Pendant for my sisters 30th - Originally £140 and I got it for £45...... I actually really like it for myself and was tempted to order 2, one each, but I came good in the end!!0 -

So, I ordered another pair, again with a 20% discount code and free delivery - making them £52, instead of £68. I haven't worn the other pair yet so I shall choose the best pair (suede can vary) and then return the other pair along with the £68 invoice, job done!

Well done you. I get laughed at by my kids if I do something like this, so glad I'm not alone.
You saved money by being savvy :T0 -

DH gave me a slightly strange look when I told him what I had done, but when I pointed out that the saving was enough for our favourite Thai takeaway he looked at me like I was a normal person again!0 -
So annoying, ordered 2 items this morning for imminent birthdays.... Rcvd conf email and despatch email and then this evening to say that one of the items was out of stock. And, it was for the birthday that is this weekend.
Popped in to London on the train this afternoon, had a lunch meeting at the station and then back home again..... Read some of my book on the kindel which was nice and relaxing.
DH has gone off on a few hour round trip to collect ds1's birthday present. It's not til march but we found it at a great price on eBay, just a pita that its so far away. Still, we got a BMx bike that is £500 new for £125, hopefully it will look in as good condition when we see it as it did in the pics.0 -
Busy few days....
DH was in hospital yesterday for an op, he ended up staying overnight and has now been signed off work for 2 weeks.
I had someone start working for us today - so busy prepping everything and providing support etc etc
Business partner still on his holiday.......
Children have been their usual "challenging at times" selves!
DS1 did his class assembly this afternoon which was wonderful and provided some light relief.
Cooked a huge stew for dinner tonight, need to go and portion now and freeze.
I'd copied Tillie and vowed not to drink until Easter, however, I am much in need and I have some ginger wine left from Christmas, so am going to go and have a very large glass of it with lemonade - tastes like alcoholic ginger beer! It will do! I will try and stick to my vow of not buying any alcohol until Easter, so this will have to do!!0 -
Hope oh 's ok lula,
