YES they do...
They can help you with any questions you have or that pop up by giving them your reference number, it's easy as they have your information to hand.0 -
Please bear in min that their online calculator is just a guide - you really need to speak to either CCCS, CAB or National Debtline direct to go through all your finances and options. When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN

Please do ring another of the Debt charities too, we always advise this for piece of mind. AS INAN says you need to speak to an advisor who will do a debt remedy with you, so make a list of all your creditors, debts and assets.
Main recommended sources of help:- National Debtline - Website: National Debtline Telephone: 0808 808 4000
- Citizens Advice Bureau - Website: Citizens Advice or visit your local CAB centre (find nearest)
- Consumer Credit Counselling Service - Website: CCCS Telephone: 0800 138 1111
- Business Debtline - Website: Business Debtline Telephone: 0800 197 6026
- Christians Against Poverty
- PayPlan
- TaxAid - Help with tax debts.
Best wishes

They did for me - I was self-employed and on maternity leave, had only unsecured debts, no assets and my husband was able to cover the household expenses in excess of my maternity allowance and child benefit.0

Yes they do. In fact I've referred clients to CCCS for DMPs, only for the CCCS computer to disagree with me/the client and tell them to come back to me to go bankrupt! :rotfl:Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

National Debtline sadly don't cover NI as our rules are different but I am waiting for call back from Debt Action NI and CAB.

All very exhausting and confusing but thank you so much for your replies.0 -

IVAs are hard, but Bankruptcy can be too. It's about finding the happy medium. IVAs generally are only worth it if you've assets to protect or if the implications of going BR would be severe on you, such as your employment etc. If not you're better off going BR normally.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

House in neg equity and no other assets over £1k (or anywhere near it)
My job is fine re BR, just husbands' self employed status that I worry about,..........................and of course, notice of BR appearing in the paper (I know I am being foolish)0 -

How much negative equity is negative equity?
BR only appears in the London Gazette routinely now as all the mains banks are in the city.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
