I bet you don't go to the supermarket in case you encounter a traffic light en route.

I got stung for £20 in Snappy Snaps for 4 photo's as couldn't find a booth near me which takes 2x2 photo's. But if you are applying for your visa in person there are 2 machines at the London Victoria visa branch so you can get them done there for £4! Just be prepared for the queues....but amazing country and well worth it in the end!!!
At least the fish fingers are still frozen, that's what I keep telling myself (Truly Madly Deeply)

    Which Tesco
I know your game, I tell you which Tesco, you call in an air strike and it's goodnight Vienna for Tojo. ;)

Suffice to say it is a Tesco two miles from an Asda that did have a PhotoMe booth that does do Indian/USA visa photos. :)

Which translated means; I made it up, haven't got a clue what I'm talking about and hope that by leaving it a few days you will have forgot you even posted on this thread thus saving me face.

Typical Tojo Raph "talk about something I have no clue about" speel imo.

OK, I confess, I am a fraud, I charlatan, a mountebank (look it up), I know nothing about using supermarket photo booths, I am clueless, in fact if the truth be told, I've never even had the opportunity to visit a supermarket, but I hope to be able to one day. ;)

    You what?

I am surprised the booth you tried in tesco didnt have Visa photo capability. I was going to do some digging to try and find out why

  • there are lots of info pages on the web that tell you how to make your own passport photos you can email the finished photo shoped photo of yourself against a pale wall, to a printing shop. 50x50mm(4mm border) then pick it up when its ready. or print yourself yourself. you have to make it perfect though.
make sure your face is approx 65% of the photo. i did mine and my friends. it cost 80p for all four. There is also Snappy snaps that charges a pound for a 10x15cm photo around the corner from the visa office, ready in 5minutes if theres no cue, email it to them...
They charge £12 for one set of passport photos though. and lots have paid it.so dont ask for that.
make sure they are totally correct if you are posting them.
Sometimes the photo booth in the visa office is working

6"x4" prints (150mmx100mm) should be BORDERLESS or you won't get
    50mmx50mm finished visa photos.
Just use ePassportPhoto.com (they help you size them) then order BORDERLESS
Prints, from about 12p for set of (only 2 needed)

In fact have just done exactly that.
