will apple to replace bk cover on ip4?

i droped my phone & shatterd the bk cover.i have got a replacement & it looks real simple to replace,but i cant find a smaller tool to remove the 2 bottom screws,i know u can buy them frm ebay but they get mixed reviews saying the tools chew the srewheads.
a mate of mine got his slighlty cracked screen foc frm apple,im booked in for apple to look at it tomorow but as my screen is shattered would they charge me? i dnt want to waste time if thats going to be the case,shame the apple sales women couldnt tell me there & then yesterday when i went in the shop & said i would need to make an appointment.

    I have heard that apple do sometimes replace free of charge if accidentally damaged.

    However I took my ipad2 into a genius bar today, as you, had to make an appointment (but still had to wait 30 mins). Such a poor way of dealing with customers.

    I just have a small dent, the only thing they said was, accidental damage, so would be charged for a new iPad! Not sure how they have gained such a high level of customer service, as basically they only cover things that would be covered under the SOGA anyway!!!

    Long story short, I think they will probably charge you for a replacement!

    yep thats what i think,but i have to hand it to them my mates fone was 18mtns old & they did replace foc the screen,addmitedly it was one x smooth crack,also they just replaced his whole fone (18mnts old+) foc as it went tats up when he done some sort of upgrade so there not all bad,just its a loada tosh when u got to go into the store & got to make an appointment just to see if there going to charge u or not!

    What would you prefer? A ticket sustem like in a supermarket where you have no clue when you'll be seen to. Like anywhere with an appointment system (doctors/dentists) they work on an average fix time, if they had a few prior calls take longer they over run. Not a lot that can be done really.

    Dents can only be manufacting damage if it's there when you open the box, after that it's accidental as you say. The SOGA doesn't cover accidental damage but what were you expecting? If you want more than that take out insurance, thats what insurance is for.
