Get a Kia, no brainer, I hear they do 90mpg, incredible technology. Also free road tax and brand new with your budget.

how quick will you save 2k using diesel over petrol then? surely that's entirely dependant on how many miles you're driving.
The buyer says 12-15k per year. Lets take 12k.
90mpg combined - £12k KIA. So 133 gallons needed = 600 litres.
50mpg combined - £10k car. 240 gallons needed = 1080 litres.
So around 500 litres saved = £650 per year.
I still think go for the KIA.This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
90mpg combined? really?
i thought the combined was the average figure that the car did, a combination of urban and extra urban driving? if the combined figure is 90mpg how high is the extra urban, 60mph down the motorway figure?
it'd have to be about 130mpg surely?Come on, it's not rocket surgery is it?0 -
I can only find:
EC Combined (mpg) 88.3 EC Extra Urban (mpg) 94.2 EC Urban (mpg) 80.7This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
80mpg around town seems unbelievable. impressive though even if you only achieve 60mpg around town not 80.Come on, it's not rocket surgery is it?0

i10 is a cramped tin box where you will be squashed in against the door unless you are very thin and the i20 has a renowned design fault with the plastic trim under the steering wheel interfering with the angle of the legs to the pedals.
I tried both and immediately discounted the i10 but was pleasantly surprised by the i20 until I actually tried to fit in it and drive it.0
