So how exactly oh wise one are they going to continue to pay the loan repayments if they lose their DLA award. Back of the class again for Andy.

They could sell it and pay off the balance of the loan outstanding. Or maybe, as most do now, arrange with the finance company to repay a £1 a week until they can afford to up the repayments again!

    Simple!

Please note, I said borrow the money NOT enter into a HP agreement!!

    That's what I would do!
And who the blue blazes is Andy?

As I posted at the beginning of the month.

Higher rate Mobility--- £51.40 per week = £2672.80 per year. = £8018.40 over three years.

After three years you have nothing.

Buying a car looks the better option to me.

It isn't quite as simple as that though.

If you bought a car, you have to have the money up front, or pay interest on any loan. Then there is insurance and maintenance (I assume they'd get free tax on any car with HRM...?)

The reduces the difference considerably, depending on the car and the insurance costs.

As I have already said, do you have a disorder or something?

I have never recieved any benefits (but I have claimed one - DLA).

OOoops sorry, I receive the OAP - is that a benefit?

Sanctioned for fraud???? You are a one, as if.

I wouldn't actually, unless it was suggested to me that I did, claim any benefit, so how could I be held as being involved in benefit fraud?

You know my opinion about benefit claims - something that you should avoid at all costs, much akin to Typhoid!
God only knows what goes on in your life!!

By the way you never explained who this fella Andy was.

But at least you would have an asset at the end of the period wouldn't you? Not at all like Motability.

Yes, you would and that's definitely something to consider.

I was just pointing out it isn't as clear cut as saying the mobility car cost £8k and that is lost, as some of those costs are lost even if a car is bought.

Go back under your quilt and do us all a favour.

Paranoid is the only diagnosis that I can come up with that fits your obsession with the fella called Andy.

What the **** is that all about?

You keep on using my name in some very wierd ways.

What happened at 6.09pm on the 3rd Nov 2011? I am sure that the whole world and I would love to know. Whatever it is I am sure we are just going to love it!! I'm game for a laugh.

sniff sniff - wacky backy????? definitely paranoia caused by too much of it.

I seem to remember that Andy was and still is a male name - mind you with what goes today anything is possible I suppose.
