Extension cable issues.....tumble dryer

It probably isn't 10 meters, not very good at estimating so probably nearer 5 if that.
It's the cable length you need to consider though, from where it will plug in inside the house to where it will end in the shed.
Your responses here are wisely leaning towards the "do it properly or not at all" approach.
But given that it is already being used through an extension and overheating, you can reduce the problem by having a heavy duty extension lead made up of just the right length, with a single socket on the end for the dryer. Something like the one already suggested at http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B001T0HEUO.
