OK You need a 16a lead to run somthing like that http://www.maplin.co.uk/240v-16a-mains-extension-leads-503639 This is what we use on our audio system. But you should get it done properly. Depending on the distance from the property you should be using 4mm Armored Cable. Run this on its own 16a RCD for the shed. Not a expencive job.EVERYTIME YOU THANK MY POSTS A PUPPY DIES!

I would not recommend a reel type as there is always the chance of it not being fully unwound and would overheat.
This type of lead is good, the socket is has more heavy duty contacts than others :

If the fusebox is not a modern type with a RCD then a plug-in adaptor is essential for safety : http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002SPF9AQ
I have no idea what that is but the fuse box doesn't have fuses his has switch type things, was replaced only a couple of years ago x0 -
Tumble driers on extension leads are a bad idea.
Wire it in properly.Not Again0 -

Realistically how much would that cost? needs to go about 10m and under concrete to a wooden shed.
They are on benefits so aren't able to just shell out for it, it isn't ideal I know but what can you do.0 -
^^^^^^^^^
what they said . Do it properly or not at all
An extension lead to run a tumble drier is asking for trouble
My mother many years ago couldn't wait until I wired a socket into the garage for the drier , run an extension lead for it ,didn't unwind it all !
Plugged in drier set it for 1 hour and ended up melting the extension lead :eek:0 -

It is Nov, how do you suggest clothes are dried during winter? I have tried to dry most indoors on a dryer and things that I hung up yesterday still aren't dry yet.
I am aware of the dangers but until it can be done properly I'm looking for the safest option.
Fuse box is up to date and modern
Best extension cable
Uncoiled completely
Never on unattended0 -

10 meters is a hell of a long run.
It probably isn't 10 meters, not very good at estimating so probably nearer 5 if that.0
