Travelex - Anyone used ?

Check they are open when you will be returning. Things may have changed but they were not open after midnight Birmingham a while ago. I was unable to change money back on my return to take advantage of the offer to change back at the same rate. I ended up posting euros to them by Special Delivery to get a cheque.0

Oh right - well i am with Abbey National - so if you have a card with them just be aware of this!wins 2008: nada

Travelex is great!
However before you book your money, check out the rate at TEG http://www.thomasexchangeglobal.co.uk which I have always found better.
When you get your confirmation from Travelex, use their price match promise to get the difference refunded to you in the form of a cheque. (your TEG rate has to be from the same business day 10 til 10)
I've always found this the most convenient combined with best rate for me.0 -
I have used them and have also used thier price promise (with thomas exchange), have been very happy with them.0

We used Travelex last time we went away, no problems whatsoever with the service. However getting them to honour the price match promise was like getting blood out of a stone. Took several emails and calls before they finally coughed up so beware!0

Strange - I emailed a Price Promise claim to them and had a cheque within a few days.boots_babe wrote:We used Travelex last time we went away, no problems whatsoever with the service. Really? Perhaps we were just really unlucky then. Worst thing was it was only for a couple of quid, but in the end I was determined to get it off them as a point of principle!:o0

Really easy to use, I've orderd my money from them for the last 3 years now and just pick it up at the airport.
I tried their price promise with the last trip and haven't had a cheque yet, think I'll need to follow that one up.0 -
Ordered my money yesterday, very nice email today promising just over £3 back on a £300 order.
Cheques have always arrived in good time on several previous occasions.0
