Vodafone sim
I have a contract with Vodafone which has expried and I'm due for an upgrade. Rather that have a new phone I've decided to go for a sim only deal. I went on their website and 'Vodafone chat' popped up and I was offered their £15.50 sim only deal half price but once they established that I was already a customer I was told I could not get this deal as it is for new customers only!
I phoned customer services last night (it took me 45 mins to get through!) and was told the the same thing - I'm not eligible for the half price deal. After being a loyal customer for many years I think its terrible that new customers get a better deal than existing ones.
I've now given them notice to terminate my existing contract and will then look into getting the half price deal in a months time. The only problem is that I would have to register as a new customer and get a new number. Does anyone know of a way round this so that I can keep my existing number?

You have to transfer yourself to another network (PayG is fine) and take your number with you and then do the reverse. Painful, but the only way to do this.0

At Vodafone it can be done within the same network:
Vodafone won't let me keep my number for a new contract0
